I have no excuse for my actions the past two weeks. I have maintained my workouts, but eating has been less than stellar. Over the past few years, and I’m sure I have said this on here before, my body responds drastically to what I put in it. Of course, exercise plays a part in feeling good, but what I eat shows, either good or bad. And…it’s all about PORTION CONTROL.
Being in Chicago for 4 days, I think I did decently well with my food choices. I also gave myself some room to breath and much-needed few days off of the treadmill. I like to shock my body like that every once in a while
Then a weekend of parties came along. Alcohol consumption is not my problem, I can say no to that, but why can’t I do the same with excessive food binging? Believe me, I allow myself plenty of splurge room, but this was a little too much.
The past two days I have gotten back on track, besides the lingering cookies around my house. I have put them in a container, in the car, to be given away – out of sight, out of mind, right? Speaking of cookies, don’t miss out on Matt’s Cookies Giveaway – now thru Monday, 2/15.
What went well:

I definitely have protion control issues with food too. I eat healthy, but I eat A LOT.
That's great that you're on track to lose your 10lb. I think we have very similar goals.
What a great 5K run time!! That's almost 8minute miles.
I have problems with party-eating as well. I can be mindful of what I eat until I'm faced with a plate of brownies or bowl of M&Ms, and I just keep nibbling away. My therapist has told me that a lot of women have similar problems. Even if we don't "deprive" ourselves extensively and eat well, we use most of our willpower to make healthy choices throughout the day and lose that determination when we're happy and surrounded by people who are eating the same food we want. The mind works in strange ways :/
Awesome job on that 5k, by the way!
Whenever I go to a party I get so caught up in the moment that I don't pay any attention to what is going in my mouth. I usually end up with a bellyache. It's ok though! Now you can get back on track... PS I sent you an email :)
I just dusted off my food scale today. I am hoping to get my portions under control with that.
thank you for the giveaway updates! so nice to see everything in in one place!
to solve party eating, I always make sure to never go hungry!! I always eat a little so,ething so I am not ravishing when I show up to the party!
