2 Breakfasts

{{**Remember to get your entries in for my **COOKIE GIVEAWAY**}}

I wish there was a reason I was awake at 4:00am this morning.  Tried reading, that usually works.  Negative.  Needless to say, I got up, and attempted to be productive.

Due to this early morning activity, bfast #1 occurred around 5:30am.   DSC01640

In the bowl:

  • Grape Nuts
  • Dried Plums, chopped
  • Banana, 1/2
  • Oikos, plain
  • Naturally Nutty, Vanilla Cinnamon Sunflower Butter
  • cinnamon

A while later (after a 30 minute power nap at 7am) I ventured out, thru the 8” of fresh fallen, overnight snow to the gym.  It’s only a mile away, so I really had no excuse.  Plus, I knew it would be EMPTY!

I was very happy to see my condo association roads and driveways had already been plowed.  My garage is soooo handy in the winter.

Not so much on the main roads – lucky for me, my car is pretty darn great in the snow (dare I say FUN to drive in the snow?! only when no one else is around!), even with worn out tires.

Spin class was killer today!  Only 5 people there, no slacking whatsoever.  I was actually happy it was so worth driving in the snow for.  50 minutes spin + 10 minutes core – this instructor kicks abs in the stomach! 1 hour = 605 cals burned

Upon returning home around 10am, my stomach was growling.  Bfast #2 consisted of a protein shake.  It’s a weird color green…no spinach included.

A great post workout meal.

It was one of those days, cold, tired, and lazy.  I’m still pondering why I woke up at 4am.

More than three cups of decaf green tea were consumed.    DSC01649

Late Lunch

DSC01650

Monster Grilled Chicken Salad (all the good veggies were on the bottom) and veggie soup (Progresso style) – like I said ‘one of those days’ for warm comforting food.

DSC01651 DSC01652 Afternoon snack was 2 Chocolate rice cakes with Chocolate Better ‘N PB and a few York Peppermint candies – sweet tooth has not yet subsided.

DSC01653 Another afternoon nap :(

Grilled Cheese sounded like a good snow day dinner.  On an Arnold’s Sandwich Thin: add 1 slice provolone + mexican 4-cheese blend shredded + bit of shredded parm + 5 drops of Franks Hot Sauce

DSC01654

Small cup of Turkey & Veggie Chili – it’s getting better by the day!

DSC01655Maybe the plate was too big :)  Pickles and grape toms for added veggies and fillers.  I could have easily eaten a second sandwich, it was pretty small.  I resisted temptation.

I need to start packing for another adventurous weekend!  Hope you are dug out of the snow and back to reality soon…or maybe not!

Thanks for stopping by and entering my contest!

I am so afraid to drive in the snow. We are having a ton here in VA and this morning I was just wondering how people who always get a lot drive in all of it.
