Chili Cheese Dip and Chili
I made:Italian Sausage Dip
Ingredients:
- 1lb. Italian Sausage (turkey sausage works too), ground
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 bell peppers (your choice of color(s))
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 (4oz) cans chopped green chile peppers
- 16oz sour cream (light or fat free)
- 8oz cream cheese (light or fat free)
1. Brown sausage in large skillet – mid-high heat; drain and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, mix together sausage, tomatoes, peppers, onions, chile peppers, sour cream and cream cheese.
3. Transfer mixture to a slow cooker. Cook on high heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft. Reduce heat and simmer.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Makes A LOT – probably about 6 cups.
I think everyone enjoyed it!
